The goal of the TREC-IS leaderboard is to encourage coopetition (cooperation + competition) among groups working on crisis informatics and making social media and microblog data more informative and useful for disaster management personnel.

Systems participating in this challenge will be given tweet streams from a collection of crisis events and should classify each tweet as having one or more of the 25 high-level information types described in the TREC-IS ontology and a priority score.Each tweet should be assigned as many categories as are appropriate.

To participate, simply follow the directions in our GitHub repo and issue a pull request.
